Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon chunks seedless if possible
  • 1 lime lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 8 leaves fresh mint leaves roughly torn

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Prepare all ingredients by chopping the watermelon into manageable chunks, squeezing the lime juice, and tearing the mint leaves to release their aroma.
  2. Add the watermelon chunks into a blender, followed by fresh lime juice and torn mint leaves.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or lime juice and blend again briefly to loosen it up.
  5. Pour the icy mixture into chilled glasses and give it a gentle swirl to distribute the mint evenly.
  6. Garnish with extra mint leaves or a small wedge of lime if desired, then serve immediately for the best icy texture.

Notes

For a more intense coolness, freeze the watermelon chunks beforehand for an hour prior to blending.
