- Measure and pour the fresh lemon and orange juices into the blender.
- Add the elderflower liqueur and vodka to the citrus mixture in the blender.
- Roughly chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the blender to infuse herbal flavor.
- Sprinkle in the honey and blend on low speed to start combining and dissolving the sweetness.
- Gradually add the ice cubes and blend on high until the mixture turns thick, slushy, and smooth in texture. You should see a vibrant, frosty mixture.
- Taste the slushie and, if desired, add a little more honey or elderflower liqueur for extra flavor, then briefly blend again.
- Pour the icy herbal citrus slushie into chilled glasses, garnishing with a small basil leaf or citrus twist if desired.
- Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, enjoying the refreshing and flavor-packed chilled beverage.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka and elderflower liqueur, replacing with extra citrus juice or sparkling water.
